Welcome to Reviving Abilities, a mobile occupational therapy practice providing compassionate, client-centered in-home services for adults. Founded by Emily Meredith, OTD, OTR/L, LWCT, Reviving Abilities specializes in adult care, rehabilitation, lymphedema management, and would care by helping individuals regain independence, improve daily function, and safely participate in meaningful activities within the comfort of home. Built on both professional expertise and personal understanding of disability and chronic illness, our approach emphasizes accessibility, advocacy, empowerment, and practical solutions that support confidence, dignity, and quality of life.
Our Occupational Therapy Services
Reviving Abilities works with adults 18 and older through varying life changes and health challenges.
We provide occupational therapy to Montgomery County, Howard County, Anne Arundel County, Fredrick County, and Northern VA.
We provide services in Assisted Living Communities, 55+ Communities, Homes, and in the Community.
Geriatrics
Reviving Abilities focuses on restoring function, maintaining function, and/ or planning for the impact of aging in order to proactively improve quality of life and adherance to the wishes of the client.
Rehabilitation
Reviving Abilities role in your rehabilitation journey, prioritizes pain reduction and restoration of function through mobilization, strengthening, and adaptations while adhering to specialist protocols to facilitate your return to meaningful daily activities.
Lymphedema Management
Reviving Abilities provides specialized occupational therapy services for lymphedema and wound care management using evidence-based treatments to reduce swelling, promote healing, improve function, and support independence in daily life.
Home Evaluations and Fall Risk Assessments
Home evaluations identify environmental barriers that interfere with safety, independence, and participation in daily activities by determining the need for adaptive equipment, home modifications, or caregiver training.
Chronic Condition Management
Occupational therapists help individuals with chronic conditions live better, more meaningful lives through the identification of limitations, symptom management, and adaptation or modifications of activities and/ or the environment.
