About the Founder & Therapist
Emily Meredith, OTD, OTR/L is a licensed occupational therapist and the founder of Reviving Abilities. She provides home health and private-pay occupational therapy services for adults, witha passion of helping individuals regain independence, improve functional abilities, and thrive in their daily lives.
Emily earned her Doctorate of Occupational Therapy (OTD) degree from Emory & Henry College. She specializes in geriatric care, dementia, and neurological conditions affecting adults as they age.
Emily brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her work. Having navigated lifelong challenges related to developmental disorders and more recently an autoimmune condition, she has learned firsthand the importance of advocacy, accessibility, and supportive care. By managing her own daily life with a service dog and advocating for her needs in education and the workplace, she has developed a deep understanding of resilience and independence. Emily is passionate about sharing that support and fostering community with her clients.
Her approach is compassionate, client-centered, and practical—focusing on meaningful activities that promote safety, confidence, and participation in real-life routines. By providing therapy in the home, Emily creates a supportive environment where clients feel understood, empowered, and capable of achieving their goals.
